Why Are People In Love With Star Wars?

I have heard about Star Wars when I was young. I guess I was born during the time that Star Wars had been showing in the cinemas. Then it took George Lucas a number of years before pushing forward and making more. 

The movies in the franchise have been watched by millions of people. Many have become fans. Despite it being available for decades, people still watch them over and over again. 

Right now, I'm re-watching Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. I like this one. But I was looking for some excitement. Still, I'm bored. I think I can sleep right through it. 

When I was pregnant with my boy, I had nothing to do. So I resorted to watching all of the Star Wars movies (in order!). I still don't get the excitement. I feel like I am watching these movies for the sake of being able to understand why people like them. I also feel like I need to watch them and understand them because I want to know what the hype is all about. There is also the feeling of me watching them because I want to be able to have something to share when the topic comes up. 

I don't know. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for Star Wars. Maybe it's not the franchise for me. I'm not saying they're bad. I'm just saying that I'm not made for them? LOL. 

So before any Star Wars fan would bash me for this, let me just say that to each his own. I may not like Star Wars the same way that you don't like Harry Potter. But don't worry. I'm still giving this franchise a chance. Maybe sometime in the future. Just not today.
