Politics And Friendships

I don't understand how some people can ruin friendships over politics. The thing about politics is that it passes. The names and the people will change. Plus, we can always do something if there is something wrong happening in how the country is run.

Some people take it too personally. I would understand if you have your own opinions. But if you are going to force them on me, I'd rather stay away from you. I don't need negative people in my life especially if you are forcing something on me.

So I now have a rule. I won't feed trolls. Yes, I'll call you a troll because I feel like you're forcing your opinions when I have something different. Don't get me wrong. I'm okay with people who have different opinions from me. But it's how you share those opinions that make the difference. I have five friends who I can discuss politics and religion and everything else under the sun and we'd have different opinions. However, we end up feeling like we are educated, instead of being attacked.

You have a different opinion than mine? Go ahead. Share what you know. I'm open to that. But make sure that you don't stuff my mind with those. I can understand where you're coming from but make sure that you also accept mine. Basic.
